The File Transfer window

File transfer window with the remote device INVH612-W11-JN. The window is split into two panes: the top pane displays the local computer's file system and the bottom pane shows the remote computer’s file system. Both are focused on the Documents folder, listing subfolders such as My Music, My Pictures, My Videos, and a desktop.ini file. The toolbar includes options such as Copy File, Create Folder, Select, Print, Recent Files, Add, Remove, View, Chat and Message. The session has been active for 00:51 and uses AES (P2P) encryption.

At the top of the window, you'll see the device name and session time. Icons indicate the session type:

Green monitor

Shows you are in a managed device session.

Green bi-directional arrows

Shows you are in an on-demand session.

Toolbar actions

From the toolbar, you can:

  • Copy a file or folder.

  • Create a new folder.

  • Delete a file or folder.

  • Rename a file or folder.

  • View properties of the selected item.

  • Open the selected file.

  • Use the Select options: all items, all files, all folders, invert selection or clear selection.

  • Print a folder tree or file list.

  • See a list of recent files.

  • Add or remove the current folder from Favourites.

  • Open a View window.

  • Chat with the Agent.

  • Message the Agent.

  • Change the display theme.

  • Access about information and the Information Hub.

Folder panes

Navigation tools

At the top of each pane, you'll find navigation controls. Use the back and forward arrows to move through folder history. Click Blue drop-down arrow. to view recently accessed locations. Use the path bar to jump directly to a folder. Use the Filter Icon showing a blue double-headed vertical arrow next to a dark downward-pointing arrow. drop-down arrow to filter the folder list. You can customise how folders are displayed using the icons:

The status bar at the bottom of the window shows the device name, logged-on user, selected files and their total size and the type of encryption the session is using. This will display TLS + AES if the session runs through the gateway or AES (P2P) if the Control and the Agent are on the same network.
